Acts 8:1-4 - On that day a great persecution broke out against the church
Praise the Lord And Saul was there, giving approval to his death. On that day, a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria. 2Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him. 3But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison. Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went After the great revival of Acts 2 the church was still clustered in Jerusalem. So God allowed events that sent them throughout the area. We all have a tendency to take it easy when we experience the blessing of the Lord, but the Scripture records God’s people constantly being sent out. Don’t be surprised when God shakes up our Jerusalem (whether physical or even relational) to send us to places or people that we weren’t expecting to go to. P Consider the environment.
