Hebrews 12:7-8 – Endure hardship as discipline

Praise the Lord           Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons             Many times we look at hardship as something to be avoided at all costs. But the Scripture tells us that our Father disciplines us for our good. It is God’s discipline that tells us that we are sons (and daughters – sonship was a title of inherence back then). The Father is preparing his children to run the business with Him. So if you are in difficult times, rejoice! The One who loves you and knows you better than anyone else is grooming you. The process may be painful, but in the long run it will produce fruit that lasts forever. .                 Jeba
